The post looks good. People like it. Your Instagram account gains some attention. Yet the phone stays quiet.
If your Meta ads in Cyprus get engagement but few customers, review the whole journey: the business goal, the offer, the advert, the enquiry route and the follow-up. Attention is only one stage of that journey.
What does a successful result mean for your business?
Define the action you want before judging the campaign. A restaurant might want reservations. A service business might need suitable consultation requests. An online shop needs completed orders.
Check that the campaign setup and reporting reflect that goal. If your report celebrates reactions and clicks but says nothing about bookings or qualified enquiries, you cannot yet tell whether the campaign is doing the commercial job you need.
Discuss the appropriate objective and performance settings with whoever manages the account, using the options available for your campaign. Then verify that the important actions are being measured correctly.
Does your offer give someone a reason to act?
“Quality services in Cyprus” does little to explain why someone should contact you today. A more useful advert identifies the customer, the service, the location and the next step.
For example, a Paphos studio promoting a business portrait session could explain what the session includes and how to check availability. The photography may earn attention; the clear offer helps a potential customer decide whether it is relevant.
Use accurate prices and availability when you choose to include them. Avoid creating urgency that the business cannot substantiate.
Does the creative answer a buying question?
Try content built around a real hesitation: what the service includes, how the process works or what a finished project looks like. Use your own work and obtain permission for identifiable customer stories.
Plan a small set of meaningfully different concepts. One might explain the process; another might show a real example. Judge each against the business action you wanted, while allowing for the limits of small samples.
A polished image alone cannot tell you whether the offer is clear. Read the advert as someone who has never heard of your company.
What happens immediately after the click?
Test the advert’s destination on a phone. Does it repeat the same offer? Can visitors find the relevant service and contact you without searching through the whole website?
If enquiries are unsuitable, consider whether a short qualifying question would help. If people abandon the form, review unnecessary fields and confusing instructions. Our comparison of Meta lead forms and website forms explains the trade-offs.
What should you test next?
- Engagement without enquiries: test a clearer offer and a more obvious next step.
- Clicks without form submissions: check the destination, loading experience and form on a phone.
- Submissions from unsuitable prospects: clarify scope and add a useful qualifying question.
- Suitable leads without sales conversations: check delivery, response time and follow-up ownership.
Record the change you make and the result you want to assess. Avoid calling a test successful solely because it produced more likes.

Frequently asked questions
Are likes and comments useless?
No. They can show that content attracted attention and may help you understand audience reactions. They simply do not establish whether the campaign generated suitable enquiries or profitable sales.
Should I boost a post or run a managed campaign?
Start with the outcome, measurement and level of control you need. Our guide to boosted posts versus managed Meta ads explains what to compare before deciding.
Are enquiries turning into conversations?
Check that new leads reach the right person, replies are timely and the team records what happens next. If an advert speaks English but the response process cannot support that customer, fix the mismatch.
Review cost per qualified enquiry and, where you can reliably attribute it, cost per customer. Agree on what “qualified” means before comparing campaigns. Cheap enquiries that rarely fit your service may be less useful than a smaller number of suitable prospects.
