A Google Ads budget has two main parts: the money paid to Google for advertising and the fee paid to the person managing it. Setup, conversion tracking and landing pages can add separate costs. To compare Google Ads management in Cyprus, ask for each of these items to be priced and explained individually.
There is no single fee that makes sense for every business. Managing one local service campaign is a different job from managing several property developments, languages and overseas buyer markets. The useful question is: what work does the fee cover, and can the total investment produce customers at an acceptable cost?
What are you actually paying for?
| Κόστος | What it covers | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising spend | The media budget used to run ads through Google | Who pays Google, the budget limit and who can change it |
| Initial setup | Research, campaign structure, ads and account configuration | Whether an existing account needs rebuilding or only correcting |
| Monthly management | Monitoring, optimisation, testing and reporting | The included campaigns, markets, languages and review process |
| Μέτρηση | Form tracking, call enquiries and useful sales feedback | Which actions count as conversions and whether tracking is tested |
| Landing pages | The page visitors reach after clicking an ad | Whether design, copy, development and later changes are included |

An illustrative monthly budget
The following is a planning example, not a CREATE price list, a Cyprus market average or a forecast of results. All figures exclude any applicable VAT and third-party fees.
| Ενδεικτικό στοιχείο | First month | Following month |
|---|---|---|
| Google advertising spend | €1,500 | €1,500 |
| Διαχείριση καμπάνιας | €450 | €450 |
| One-time tracking setup | €350 | €0 |
| One-time landing page work | €650 | €0 |
| Total | €2,950 | €1,950 |
In this scenario, a quote described only as “€450 per month” would leave most of the actual investment unexplained. Equally, an all-inclusive €1,950 quote would need to show how much reaches Google and how much pays for the service.
Google allows advertisers to set an average daily budget. For planning a monthly amount, its guidance uses 30.4 days. That describes the platform budget, not the agency fee or a promise of daily lead volume.
Which management fee model should you compare?
A fixed monthly fee
A fixed fee makes planning straightforward when the scope is defined. Ask what happens if you add another development, service line or market. A low fixed price may cover a narrow task; a higher one may include copy, measurement and sales review. Compare the deliverables before comparing the headline.
A percentage of advertising spend
With this arrangement, the management fee changes as spend changes. Ask whether there is a minimum fee, which spend figure is used and whether a larger budget also brings more work. You should approve budget increases because the business case supports them.
A project or setup fee plus ongoing management
This can suit an account that needs a clear rebuild before regular optimisation. Request separate acceptance criteria for setup: tested conversions, approved ads, agreed targeting and working landing pages. The ongoing fee should then describe how the account will be managed after launch.
Why scope changes the cost
Consider two hypothetical Cyprus businesses. A repair company serves one district with one main offer. A developer promotes three projects to local and overseas buyers. The developer may need more landing pages, different messages, longer sales tracking and more coordination with the sales team.
Neither business should pay for complexity it does not need. But reducing the fee by removing tracking or landing page work can leave you unable to judge the advertising properly. Our guide to why Cyprus businesses struggle with Google Ads explains how disconnected campaigns and sales processes waste opportunities.
Judge the total cost against qualified enquiries
Agree on a qualified enquiry before launch. For a local service, it might mean someone in the service area asking for an available job. For a developer, it might require a suitable budget, project interest and a realistic buying timeframe.
Then calculate two different figures:
- Media cost per qualified enquiry: advertising spend divided by qualified enquiries.
- Fully loaded cost per qualified enquiry: advertising, management and the relevant share of other campaign costs divided by qualified enquiries.
Do not divide by every form submission if many submissions are duplicates, unsuitable or unreachable. For longer sales cycles, connect the enquiry to its eventual outcome using an organised CRM and follow-up process.
What to ask for in a written quote
- A separate line for advertising spend and management.
- The setup work, one-time costs and exclusions.
- The campaigns, locations, languages and landing pages included.
- The definition of a conversion and a qualified enquiry.
- Your account access, ownership and billing arrangements.
- A reporting example showing decisions and business outcomes.
- The contract length, notice period and handover terms.
Συχνές ερωτήσεις
Is the management fee paid to Google?
No. The management fee pays the provider managing the campaign. Advertising spend pays for media through Google. Confirm whether you pay Google directly or the provider invoices both items.
Should a small Cyprus business start with a large budget?
Start with a budget justified by your offer, customer value, capacity and available search demand. A focused test with working measurement is more informative than splitting a small budget across many unrelated services.
Does a higher management fee guarantee better results?
No. Ask what the additional scope achieves and how it will be measured. A fee alone does not establish competence, and a low fee does not reveal the total campaign cost.
